Sesame Chocolate Bark
This Chocolate Sesame Bark is the ultimate crowd pleaser. It's incredibly easy to make and impossible not to love! It's totally addictive and has the most satisfying crunch. It would also be perfect as an edible gift for your friends and family this Christmas.
Ingredients
- 100 g sesame seeds
- 50 g pumpkin seeds
- 50 g sunflower seeds
- 4 tbsp maple syrup
- Pinch salt
- 100 g dark chocolate
- Pinch flaky salt optional
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 165C and line a large baking tray with baking paper.
- Add the sesame, pumpkin and sunflower seeds to a bowl along with the maple syrup and salt and mix well.
- Add the seedy mixture to the baking tray and press down to flatten. Place in the oven to bake for 23-25 minutes until the edges are brown. Remove and set aside to cool before topping with chocolate.
- Melt the chocolate: Break your chocolate into chunks and place in a heat proof bowl before placing in the microwave to melt (in 30 second bursts), alternatively you can melt using a Bain Marie or double boiler.
- Finish with a sprinkle of flaky salt if preferred. Set the chocolate by placing in the freezer for 20 minutes. Once the chocolate has hardened you can break into chunks, enjoy! Store in an airtight container in the fridge.
