Welcome to my blog – I’m Gina, a 22 year old foodie and recipe developer. I started my Instagram in January 2017 as a way to express my passion for delicious vegan recipes, food styling and photography. I had no idea that it would grow to the extent that it has and I am forever grateful that I am able to continue to share my foodie creations with you all!
In a world of celebrities endorsing meal replacement shakes and wellness gurus promoting green juices and cauliflower pizza, I want to create a space where no foods are demonised and a healthy relationship with food is of prime importance. I, like many other young women have suffered from negative body image and disordered eating due to being affected by the unavoidable diet culture aimed at women in our current society. I want to bring to attention the importance of self love and acceptance in a world constantly telling us that we aren’t good enough. Ginabnutrition is about living free from restrictions and guilt. I want to inspire people to enjoy a healthy, happy and balanced relationship with food.
For these reasons, I try to keep my recipes super simple and as accessible as possible. My recipes are vegan due to me being vegan for ethical reasons (by no means does this mean you have to). If you are thinking of becoming vegan then please consult with a Nutritionist.
I’m currently studying Nutrition in Manchester in order to become a qualified Nutritional Therapist and to eventually practice with clients. My goal is to one day practice as a Nutritional Therapist specialising in eating disorders.
