Homemade Vegan Gummies
Georgina Burgess
You won't believe just how easy it is to make your own Vegan Gummies. These are great if love gummies but struggle to find gelatin-free options, or if you want a healthier option. They're also perfect for kids and really fun to make with them too. They're made with agar-agar powder which is a natural vegetarian and vegan gelling agent, I get mine from Amazon, I have linked it below!

2 Silicone Gummy Molds I have linked the ones I used above
1-2 Droppers These usually come with the gummy mold, mine did! You can also use a Calpol Syringe!
- 250 ml juice of choice (if you want to make watermelon juice, simply blend up the flesh of a watermelon!)
- 1-2 tbsp sweetener, to taste such as sugar, maple syrup or agave syrup
- 2 tsp agar-agar powder I've linked the one I use above
- 1/2 lemon or lime, juiced Optional, adds a slight 'sour' flavour
Add your juice, agar-agar powder and sweetener to a small sauce-pan and heat over a medium heat, whisking often, until boiling. Reduce and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and whisk in the lemon or lime juice, if using.
Set the mixture aside to cool for 5 minutes (it can help to transfer to a bowl to speed up the process).
Place your gummy molds onto flat plates. Using the dropper, drop the mixture into the molds until they're all filled up. Place in the fridge to set for 15-20 minutes. Remove from the molds and enjoy!
