No Bake Brownie Balls

No Bake Brownie Balls {vegan, gluten free}

So I decided to create a NEW version of my very popular No Bake Brownie Bites! You guys seem to love these quick, easy, no bake recipes so I thought I’d include an even gooier, more delicious version. These vegan and gluten free No Bake Brownie Balls are my new favourite sweet snack!

I have been loving these little brownie balls as a mid morning or afternoon sweet treat, ESPECIALLY heated up. You heard me.

Simply pop a brownie ball in your microwave for 15-20 seconds, take a bite, and thank me later. They literally taste like a gooey, delicious dessert! Absolute heaven.

Made with the simplest ingredients, these No Bake Brownie Balls will certainly satisfy your sweet tooth, especially if you’re a chocolate lover like myself! They’re naturally plant based and totally gluten free.

The difference with these and my other Brownie Bites is that these use Coconut Flour, which is AMAZING in no-bake treats (however I don’t recommend it for baked goods!) The coconut flour adds the best fudgy texture, as well as being high in fibre, protein and healthy fats. A great ingredient to have in!

How To Make These No Bake Brownie Balls

Here’s the ingredients you’ll need to make these no bake brownie balls…

  1. Runny Peanut Butter (3/4 Cup): Peanut butter adds creaminess, flavor, and healthy fats to the brownie balls. It’s a good source of protein, fiber, and various vitamins and minerals. The runny consistency helps bind the ingredients together.
  2. Maple Syrup (5 tbsp): Maple syrup is a natural sweetener that contributes sweetness and moisture to the brownie balls. It’s a source of carbohydrates and contains some vitamins and minerals. It’s important to note that while it’s a more natural sweetener than refined sugar, it’s still a form of sugar and should be consumed in moderation.
  3. Cocoa Powder (3 tbsp): Cocoa powder provides the rich chocolate flavor in the brownie balls. It’s also a source of antioxidants and may have some health benefits, such as potentially improving mood and cardiovascular health. Unsweetened cocoa powder is low in calories and adds a deep chocolatey taste.
  4. Coconut Flour (3 tbsp): Coconut flour is a gluten-free alternative to traditional wheat flour. It’s high in fiber, which can help with digestion and satiety. It also contributes a mild coconut flavor and helps absorb excess moisture, giving the brownie balls a better texture.
  5. Vegan Dark Chocolate Chips (2 tbsp): Dark chocolate chips add bursts of chocolate flavor and texture to the brownie balls. Dark chocolate contains antioxidants and may have potential health benefits, such as supporting heart health and improving brain function. Opting for vegan chocolate chips ensures that the recipe remains dairy-free.

Why Not Try These?

  1. Is there a substitute you could recommend for the maple syrup that has less sugar? I’m on a low sugar diet, but these look delicious. I would love to try to modify them to fit my diet. Thanks!

  2. These sound wonderful! Is there any coconut flavor in coconut flour! My dairy and egg allergic friend unfortunately really dislikes the taste of coconut.

  3. Would you please clarify what “runny peanut butter means”?

    1. ginaburgess96 says:

Yes! By that I just mean peanut butter that isn’t really thick. Pip and Nut for example is a brand of peanut butter which is quite thin. If you can only find thick peanut butter you may just need a little more liquid x

  4. Can you substitute almond flour for the coconut flour?
    Thanks!

    1. ginaburgess96 says:

I’m assuming you mean can you sub the coconut flour for almond? I haven’t actually tried that myself so I couldn’t say, but you can use this recipe which uses oat flour! xx
